The GMG Manual is a help guide for GameMaker and SilverCREATOR that is collaboratively edited by its users.

[edit] How to Contribute

Anyone can edit the GMG Manual! An account is not required to edit. The site uses MediaWiki, the same software as Wikipedia. If you are already familiar with editing Wikipedia or any other MediaWiki-powered site, you already know how to edit the GMG Manual! If you have any helpful information to add to the various pages, don't be afraid to add your content. If you find something in need of improvement, feel free to fix grammar, spelling, coding errors, or any other detail that needs fixing. If you find destructive edits or spam, please help clean up the messes. If you have any suggestions regarding a certain page, a Talk page is available for such discussion in each article.

[edit] What needs Work

Many aspects of each existing article need to be reworked to look more standardized. Because the GMG Manual covers two different game creators that in some cases share similar functions and commands, much of the existing content should be converted to have seperate namepaces, similar to what the UESP wiki does with its articles.

We need more visitors willing to edit the GMGwiki! If you frequently browse this site looking for new information, consider contributing some content when you can. Read help guides on other wikis such as the UESPwiki or Wikipedia to get a general idea of how the content editing process works.

As you can see, this manual is still in its early stages! We need volunteers to add content to the site. If you have experience with the game making tools, please consider writing some tutorials. If you have an idea for expansion of an existing article, add a new section with your additions. If you know of any working download links to games made with these tools, consider adding them to the appropriate game articles. We also need volunteers to keep the articles free of spam and vandalism.
